Looks like some vidio from the race. http://rumble-vid.blip.tv/file/385916/ http://blip.tv/file/385955 Jim
:gp: and round three..... http://blip.tv/file/385983 Too bad they only run about 15 minutes each. The first two rounds miss a bunch of the faster cars, but it's better than nothing.
The last run taped on the round one video is about the funniest thing i have seen at the drags:grin:  Lessen learned, never give up:beers2:
These are GREAT videos. I love this stuff. It's interesting to so many "muscle" cars running 14-15 second times. It really make you appreciate a 13 second car as being fast and 12's being REALLY FAST. I am in SW Florida and I don't know if there are any of these events near me but I would love to get a car for these type of events!! Thanks for sharing the videos...
My Dad has a 65 with the 327/350 sitting in the garage back home in Tampa. I was the last one to drive it in 1987. I emailed him links to the videos and told him I am coming to get the Vette as my "Pure Stock" project car once I finish building my new house and shop. How do I find out more about the locations of these "pure stock" events?
Please stay tuned to this radio station for even more Pure Stock information..... How close (or far) are you from Norfolk Virginia?? Looks like some F.A.S.T. and Pure Stock action gonna happen down that way pretty soon. Just follow this link ~ http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?t=133090 .
Too cool! Lots of fun races. I can't get enough of Steffina's barge sailing down the 1320 on those tiny little tires.
See below: http://forums.factorystockmusclecars.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/362100271/m/9001077703 I think maybe 25-35% of the guys on this forum participate in the Factory Stock class (F/S) in the Englishtown Raceway-based Stock Appearing Drags series. From what I gather, the S.A.D. (horrible acroynm, I know) organizer is going to be co-producing a version of the F/S class at Gainesville at the end of this month and the first of December. You can join and post over there for more details.
Hello, I deleted the 2007 pure stock video from my BlipTV page because they were incomplete, as many of you had noticed. I don't know what happened, they uploaded fine but something happened. I suspect maybe the file sizes were too large. I am trying to work out a solution, I have every elimination run on video but I may have to edit the rounds down into more managable chunks. Stand by........ RumbleVid.......
Roger's car dying on the launch wasn't the only Olds that killed the motor at the tree when it bit harder than usual. My first shootout run did the same thing in my Ramrod, difference was I kicked the clutch (as I always do when it noses over from launching too easy) and it caught and took off.....unfortunately just as much sideways as forward.  I think Roger restarted with the key. Funny race. As you say, never give up.
