    Hey Donny,

I was just there and didn't see anything about this (other than Tom Cannon's Halloween race joke post)??? According to Dave's last post on the main VMP thread, Sunday the 18th, is the rain date. I'd think Dave would've made a formal post about it by now with this many guys on the line.

    EDIT:

After poking around, I finally found the unofficial mention in an unrelated post from Joel.

I still didn't see a reason to rush hearsay, secondhand info out to the masses before it's official.

    F.A.S.T Race @ VMP 17th-18th Postponed

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I guess some of you have heard that the race this weekend Oct 16th-17th at VMP has been canceled, it has been rescheduled for Oct 30th-31st at VMP we will start qualifying at 3:00 pm on Friday the 30th and finish up on the 31st, We are very sorry but the weather forecast has made it tough on us over the last week, it's changed from good to bad and then back to good and then last night looked very bad for this weekend, we waited as long as we could to make this decision, after talking to Bryan at VMP this morning about the forecast he said if it did rain with the cool temperatures forcasted for this weekend and not having a jet dryer it long time to dry the track, like the whole day.
We know all of you have planned for this weekend for a long time and are sorry for any inconvenience this might cause.
Hope to see you all at the end of the month.

Anyone going to attend? I plan to be there, but my GTO won't be ready. If the FAST race doesn't monoplize the track for the entire day, I may show up in a Wimbledon White 67 Fairlane hardtop with a teardrop hood and a 514.

Yeah, the weather here in VA in every weekend of October has been way messed up! I'd hoped to hit the track nearly every weekend this month and have had the weather scratch my plans every time. Grrr!!!

I would've gone and spectated last night after work. (In the past two years, I usually run T&T at the same event.) But when I stepped out of the office and felt the mist (at 6 pm 40 mins north of VMP in Richmond), I didn't even mess with it.

Seems like there was some relatively almost-decent numbers for the big dogs despite the bad air.

Come back next year guys!!!
