  2. In and effort to reduce the spam on the site, several years ago I had went to a program where I manually approve each and every new registration. This approval gives you full access to the site, to pictures, and to post, among other things. To be able to enjoy the full potential of the board for you, you need to be fully registered.. and that's easy.. Just send an email to me at jim@trishieldperformance.com and I will verify your registration. This policy will remain in effect indefinitely, as it has completely eliminated the bad actors from our site, who would spam and hack it, once they gained access. Thanks JW

I recorded the following 18-characters in sequence from the cowl tag:

    ST7144467FL1045169

    1. Is 'this' the entire VIN?

    2. Also, am I correct, a 1971 Buick Skylark Custom convertible?

    Thanks again.
    :)

Its not the VIN its 1 line of the body tag
    ST 1 tells you its a 71
44467 is the model number for Skylark Custom Model 44467-Convertible Coupe..................................3,299
FL1 is the fisher assembly for the body - 045169 is the sequential body number (body serial)
The VIN is behind the windshield lower left on top of dash -
this will help with the rest of the numbers

FL1 means that it was assembled in the Flint Michigan plant as opposed to a dual line plant.
