Keep watching ebay,I bought a set a couple months ago that were NOS and still in the original boxes. gary
Saw some at a local swap meet. Ran broke buying other, more important items. Should've asked how much they wanted anyhow. What did you pay for yours Gary?
$150. but it was worth it to put back on the 69 stage2 .thats what I used for the street back then and I've put all the stage2 stuff back in.Ah,the memories. I will debut the 69 at the BPG. gary
Gary, when I saw those Mufflers hanging on "Old Blue" on the rack, the wheels in my head were turning, and all I could think about were the "Good Olde Days" all the way home from your house. Ah, the memories is sure right on !!! Thanks
Wow. Lakewoods, Thrush glass packs and an engine fire air cleaner. Talk about your flashbacks. I owned all of that stuff at one time or another. Throw in a flex a lite fiberglass fan and a cool can - you have the complete ensemble. LOL
The look I'm going for . . . but . . . I hadn't even been born yet. I think I'll skip the fiberglass fan (tendency to explode), and I'll skip the "Fly-Eye" air cleaner (nice hint at the tendency of those things :laugh. It's a lot more fun finding and using vintage speed equipment (as long as it's safe!). :TU:
That stuff does come up on e bay and Kijiji from time to time but when it does you have to jump on the good items . I look on and off for thrush items , if I come across something I will let you know. My brother used to work for Thrush in the R & D shop from the early 70's until they closed up here in Ontario. it was a cool place that I got to go to many many times. When I got my buick it had a old rusted chrome diff cover , a pair of old air bags , thermoquad carb and a pair of Kenne- bell valve covers . I had wanted to do a 70's look but so far I have only added a pair of sidepipes. I also was looking for 15 x 10 Keystone classics for the rear and 15 x 7 's for the front. a good pair of tens are hard to find .
