I flagged and bookmarked this page many years ago as I too have a Dark Gold vinyl top car. Scroll down to Buckskin Levant as it may be close. Seems I remember reading over the years that this color top is almost impossible to find now with just a limited market. I'd opt to go with something close to this color rather than change it. I know many would say eliminate the vinyl top altogether but I like to see the period correct tops. http://www.keeautotop.com/vinylcard.html
Here is another source. www.smsautofabrics.com I was looking for a brown top as no one else had it. They will even send you free sample of fabric. grain was dead on. Only downside to the off colors is they cost 3 times more. Top costs about $300. Maybe other place is cheaper. At least anothe option.
Correct grain is Levant I believe. Kee does not look like they have anything In close to gold. Contact SMS
As a long shot you might try looking for the Chrysler gold levant from 1973, it was very close in color. Also you might try dyeing a buckskin levant top in the dk. gold color, with everything plastic in cars now the vinyl dyes are quite good. Also you can check out this site they might be able to help you with a vinyl top. tomcotops.com
