Hello everyone, this post is from Bryan Pierce General Manger of Virginia Motorsports Park, it was posted over on Y-1 site.
I wanted to make sure that everyone had a change to read this and make your plans NOW! We are going to have a GREAT time at this event, on Friday nite we are planning to have a HUGH meal for all of racers kind of a racers appreciation fest!
This will be the BEST prep track that we will be on all year also, with the AWESOME air in October records will fall, you have all winter to stay at home and rest, so make your plan now for this weekend in October and let's show all the people in Virginia how good American muscle can run!

Welcome FAST and Factory Stock Racers!

I am Bryan Pierce, General Manager of Virginia Motorsports Park. On behalf of my staff and crew we are looking forward to having you guys to Virginia and VMP on October 12 & 13, 2007. FAST and Factory Stock will be a feature class that is part of an all heads up event we call Fall Throwdown. There will be only other heads up classes and a special test and tune during the day.

October is a great time of year in Virginia. The temps are moderate, the air is great, and the track hooks hard. The Fall Throwdown will be the weekend following the Torco Racing Fuels NHRA Nationals. Last year at the Nationals, Jason Line destroyed the Prostock record and the record was set for the quickest qualified field ever for Prostock. So the track will be the best condition of the year.

Over this past winter we have contihued to work on the track surface, making it one of the smoothest in the country. Here is a little bit of info about VMP. The track is almost a mile in length with plenty of shutdown. We have almost 40 acres of paved pit parking so everyone will be on asphalt. We run Compulink timing system, and we have new LED scoreboards that are easy to read.

Thank you for choosing Virginia Motorsports Park to host your race. We look forward to having you race with us!

    My Best

    Bryan Pierce

    General Manager, Virginia Motorsports Park

Am I wrong or does this mean we share the track with all thelocals.I for one would rather pay twice the money and not get caught up in a englishtown style cluster stuff.Martin was nice lots of passes and little traffic.I am unsure about that much travel for a 2 time trial day and running elims after it gets dark.I hope it isn't like that I would really like to go. :3gears:

Saturday at least 4 T&T runs before we qualify, nothing like English town no Motorcycles trying to run into YOU CAR!!!!!!!!! NO T&T ON SATURDAY NO TRACK PREP!!!!!!!!TOLD WE DON'T PAY THE BILLS!!!!!!!!
