I speak 7 languages, including French.
Most people in the Netherlands speak at least 3 languages, it's very hard for English speaking people to learn Dutch in the Netherlands: As soon as we notice you speak English, we switch to that. I have a lot of English friends living here and most of them still don't speak the lingo after being here for years.

    Re: quebec

...actually it's "deux bires" :beer But maybe you'd like to know this classic " Voulez vous couch avec moi " :pp

I don't use translator for my writing but sometimes when I need to be more acurate for specific need .

Translated = "Want lying with me?"

I guess that's the French way of saying, "Lets get it on". Another famous song.

Hmmm.... Ce qui dire? Bienvenue au conseil!

    EDIT
Too funny... just for sh1ts and giggles, I plugged the French translation into the same converter, to have it translated back to english....

What I originally typed in English :
"Hmmm... What to say? Welcome to the board!"

You can see what it made in French above.

Then I plugged the French in to see how it would translate back to English:

"Hmmm.... What with saying? Welcome with the council! "

    LOL LOL
Remind me to never act like I know French by using the translater! :gt:

actually the use of "deux beers" is a colloquial way of mixing french & english . i worked for thibodeau-finch express (windsor) for 15 years & we had a freight terminal in montreal . when we would visit from windsor , with the terminal manager , a born quebecor , in mtl , he would naturally take us downtown to a bar & he would order 2 beers as "deux beers" . i know the proper french to order beer but his method always stuck with me .

Deux beers, ordered in "Franglais" . You here that a lot around here because we are right on the Quebec /Ontario border.
My friend , when he orders breakfast , gets 2 eggs, face the sky.
    ie: sunny side up!.
My wife , who is french, while getting mad at me once told me I was "driving towards getting bruised" ie: cruising for a bruising:grin: My 6 year old already knows more french than me, but she is trying to give me a hand learning it.
    Adam.
