OK, I have been on here for a couple of days, so I figured I would formerly introduce myself, and my car.

I am the pilot of a 1968 Buick LeSabre 400. It was given to my by my grandfather shortly after he found out he had cancer. He died shorty there after. The car had 23k original miles on the clock (its at 45k now), and I still have 2 of the original tires, all the hub caps, the original reciept where it was registered in '68 for $1.50, the owners manual, etc... Needless to say, it is a very clean machine, Aqua Mist with a white top.

My mother told me the car would be worth more if I leave it stock. My reply to that was I really don't care, because it's not for sale. Besides, I have never really been the type to leave anything stock.

I have done the usual mods, added some gauges, a stereo system, some 18" chrome rims, etc... The paint could use a fresh coat, and the interior is beginning to unravel from age. I have located a place where I can get the fabric thats in my 2003 LeSabre (its like a modern version of the '68 fabric) and I will be redoing the interior soon. I plan to lower it a bit, but I am having quite a time finding the suspension parts that I'm looking for. This seems to be one of those classics that fell thru the cracks as far as aftermarket is concerned.

My other car is a Probe GT that I swapped a J-Spec Mazda engine in, and is running deep 13's naturally aspirated, but is getting fitted for a nice big turbo right now. :3gears:

We also just swapped a twin turbo 3.4L V6 into an MR2.

My Buick, however, is my baby, and due to the circumstances of how I aquired it, it is part of the family for good. I love the stares and the respect it commands. Anybody can go get a new camary or a used caddy, but there are a select few of us that drive cars that actually have class.

As for me, I am an audio engineer, and I own a recording studio in Houston, TX. This is more my passion than a job. I also own a small but very sucessful moving company.

I love cars, and I am a real DIY'er. I hope to learn a lot from all of the old school Buick gurus :Smarty: around here. :TU:

Glad to be part of the gang! :beer

Welcome and do like I did on here. I read daily and learned about Buicks. I just thought I knew Buicks before V8! Keep Grandpa's car forever.
