My car goes in Saturday morning for installation of a pair of the Walker Super Dynomax muffs in 2 1/2 inch with the 20 inch case. I had to buy both the 17748 (Offset/Center), and the 17749 (offset/offset) to be sure my exhaust guy has the one he likes best for fit to my MagnaFlow exhaust with the "X" pipe. So, Saturday I'll have a pair of brand new, (box never opened) pair of Walkers. If anyone would like a pair brought to the Nats, please post here as to which one you would like and I'll get back to the people that want the one I didn't use. It'll be Saturday night before I know for sure. Price is $140 for the pair brought to BG.
Interested if the ones you are selling are side in and center out. I will be at the Nationals Wednesday thru Saturday. Please let me know. WIll
Just to be clear, I’m selling a pair of Walker DynoMax Super Turbo mufflers in 2 1/2 in. Part number 17749 side in/ side out. They are brand new in original boxes. $120 brought to Bowling Green.
Well, I've had them on 3 or 4 of my previous GS big block cars and the sound is really mellow until you accelerate and they get bolder and bolder as the RPMs go up. And they don't drone at all. That's a big deal for me as I love to listen to my favorite music on satellite radio when I'm cruising And there's a performance reason too. A few years ago the GSCA ran very comprehensive tests on most of the performance muffs of the day (Walker, MagnaFlow, Borla, Flowmaster, et al.). And, they equaled or outperformed them all. The best flow is with the full size 20 inch case. On my current GS455 I had the MagnaFlows full 2 1/2 in. stainless system. It was not only loud but droned badly in the 2000 -2500 RPM range. That's why I sold the MagnaFlows and replaced them with the Walkers. What a difference. I should mention that I have stock manifolds and the MagnaFlow muffs I took off were 14 inch cases while the DynoMax muffs are 20 inch. That might be a factor.
