I did mine a few years back and as much as I liked the 4 barrel I felt more response from upgrading the rear end gears which I did after. Maybe do the gears first .

 

My 67 is a 3 speed stick car, should have 2.93's or better. I want to make it as factory appearing as possible, Its a 90-95% original car and planning on keeping it a cruiser, just cant stand to have a 60's car with a 2bbl is all.
