Wanted: 67 Skylark 2dr Left Rear Quarter Hello, I am looking for a rust free and relitivly damage free left rear quarter. I also need a drivers door for a hard top. All help is wanted. Thanks, Scott
How bad are your current quarters? On the whole it's easier to fix the 67's typical rust than it is to find NOS or good usable quarters. I spent 18 months myself before settling on the patch panels. I might have a door that suits your needs, depends how picky you are about the condition...
No, patch panels wont work because there is'nt a wheele well on one side and the other side is even worse. So I need the inner wheele well also! The floor pan and three quarters of the trunk pan is there and the doors and fenders are nice. The drivers door could be nicer. Even the trunk lid and hood are very nice. I dont know why the quarters rotted, but they did. Please help me!!! Thanks, Scott
Ouch. Mine was in a similar state so I know what you mean. The wheel wells were totally gone and the quarters had to be cut out to just under the bodyline due to previous accidents and rust. Skylark-specific body parts There are a few chevy places that remake the inner wheel wells for the quarters, but the outer skins themselves simply don't exist. If you do find a set for sale they are usually well over $1500. That money buys a lot of great welding and bodywork if you have a excellent bodyman. IMHO the NOS quarters are worth the money for a numbers matching GS400 nuts-on resto but for the average rebuilder the bodyman is the route to go. That being said, miracles do happen. Look around, there might be a set up for grabs! Best of luck!
Call Mark in TX for good used 64-67 parts See his ads in the BCA Buggle. I've done business with him no problems. kg :Brow:
I will take them if they meet my quallifications. Rite now I am in Fort Luderdale fl and wont be home untill Nov. 6th. I would like to know where you are located, because I think they will have to be picked up. Thanks Scott
Has anyone installed the cross canada panals? Scott if you could find a rear clip from a two door that would work best. A rear clip from a 4 door will work on a two door. I have done this but mine was a conv and had to keep the top of the wheel house because the conv is different. The clip would have to be 67. I do have a pair of complete 67 rust free quarters, been in dry storage for 30 years. these are full cut off's. I did not use them in my frame off of the 67 convert because a rear clip was easier to install because I needed a trunk floor. I do also have some 66 quarter parts that are not rust free but may be better than yours. It would be possible to ship small parts of the quarters but the complete ones would need to be picked up. I live in Omaha, Ne. The partial quarters would be small dollars, but the complete ones would be more. I have not thought about selling them in years. It would take a week to get to them, they are in the back of the bacement with the other sheet metal. Someone on one of these boards had a pair of 67 NOS quarters, I thought the price was down to $3000.00 for the pair. That is not a bad price if you are doing a full restro. Problem is that you need the outer wheel house. Thanks Bill Sangster
No, I havent installed them, but I bought a car that had them installed allready, and when I junked the parts that I didnt want, the quarters were in tat pile. They dont look anything like the factory rear guarters. If you are thinking about doing that. I would think again!!! Thanks, Scott

quarters Hey guys I guys I think I used the canada patch panels the only thing that was really usable here was the wheel lip which i used to replace one on a used quarter I bought. For the inner wheel house I used a 67 chevelle piece they didn't fit perfect but with a little cutting and welding I got them real close. Those candian pieces aren't really worth the money. I hope someone steps up with repos soon thanks Adam
I fyou're going to use the cross-canada pieces you'll need a great bodyman to pound out the correct shapes. Otherwise they are not a weld-in and go kinda part.
Are you looking for a door? If so I can take pics next Sunday. The car is in MPLS. I also have a perfect front fender for the passenger side. Thanks
Ed is the fender 66 or 67? Have a friend looking for a 67 fenders and I am looking for a 66 passangers one. Thanks Bill
