Well I stopped my last wanted thread because I planned on buying my grandmother's house. Long story short, the nice version, family can sometimes be worse than friends. Anyway, I'm looking for a Skylark/GS/GSX Clone that is a street/strip car. The car can also be a drag car. I have an engine and transmission, so a roller would be fine. I'd even consider a GN that has a 455 or roller. I'd prefer a roll cage, but it's not necessary. If you think you have something I may be interested in let me know. Thanks. Brian
I have a '74 Apollo w/ a 455 listed for sale on this site, not sure if it fits your bill or not. link: http://www.v8buick.com/vbclassified.php?do=ad&id=2518
Have a freind in Iowa that is considering selling his race car. 69 Skylark, with mild build 455, it isnt street legal anymore, as it has fiberglass hood and bumpers. 3.73 posi, slicks and on and on. Runs consistant in the 11s. Complete, car and trailer is the package. I would need to check with him on price, but if I remember correctly it wasnt too expensive. 10K maybe I will verify if this is of any interest
Here's a very nice one!!! There needs to be a drooling icon thingy for this one! http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?t=223830&highlight=todd Scott
Brian,my son has a GN,street and strip,11 to one,455 Dominator, steel heads done by Gessler, runs in the high tens, and he drives it to the track with high test gas,at the track he puts some cam2 in it.Was asking $14.000 for itI does have a roll bar with i4 inch tires.BrunoD.
If interested I have a 67 special that has a 67 12 bolt. Car has no scale or any rust ever. You could take it apart with a wrench. It's blue with a painted white roof. No motor or tranny. Had a turbo 400 and a 455 in it. Has a cowl hood painted black. but also have stock hood. $6500 that's what I have in it.
Thanks for the replies everybody. I'm going to pass on the Apollo. As far as the 69 Skylark goes... I'd possibly be interested if I didn't have to purchase the trailer with it. Bruno D., I completely forgot about your sons GN. I was talking about it with him a couple months ago. I really liked his car. I'll have to dig up the pictures he sent me and go from there. Thanks for reminding me about it. C. Rob, I'd be interested to see pictures of your 67. Could you please email them to me at Krayzie949@aol.com
No problem Brian, that motor went 9.70 on Long Island Dragstrip on Long Island with a lighter car.Don't forget,he only went to the track that one time, never dial-in the car, only made 2 runs.BrunoD.
And also,we took down the compression to 10.75 -1.I guess we did loose a few horses, bur the car should go to the mid-tens as is.Bruno.
Brian: Did you see that 71' Skylark for sale in the "V8 classififed Ads & auctions" section. It is a white one. Ken
Brian, I've been contemplating putting my 68 GS350 up for sale and going 'vert shopping. If it could interest you, PM me for details.
I still have my Regal race car and its in the same condition except I have added an aluminum core support which took 10 lbs off the front of the car. The price is still $3200.00 and if I don't sell it within the next two weeks its going to have a chevy motor again although I still have the BBB mounts for the car.
Monkeyy, I'm going to pass on your regal, but thanks for the offer. All other PM's responded too. Brian
