    Greetings all!

I have been lurking here for a while and I am seriously considering restoring an old buick. Id like a 455ci. v8, probably a 60's 70's GS model. I was just Wondering what I should look out for when buying. Im in Texas right now so I dont think rust will be a problem.

    Thx for your time.

The Buick 455 was not introduced until 70 so the 60s is not an option unless you are considering a transplant.

If you're going to buy a GS I guess just make sure it's the real deal. You can always make a nice clone out of a skylark but just make sure you know what you're getting into so you don't overpay. You'll want to make sure the car already has as many of the hard to find(expensive) parts as you can. If it were me I'd decide on what year/model I wanted then start the search from there. Good Luck and welcome :beer
