Water Pump for Serpentine Setup

I was wondering if there was any thought of ever coming up with a reverse rotation water pump for the BBB? Would be so nice to be able to run a serp setup instead of the traditional V-belts. Would it be something as simple as using a different impeller in your new water pump? Thanks.

If we had a viable serpentine belt setup that someone could buy and bolt on I'm sure we would, but we haven't had a chance to play around with making one yet with everything else going on.

Thanks for the reply Mike. The reason I was asking is the if there was a reverse rotation pump available, whether you produced a complete setup or not, is that some a couple have tried to adapt the serp setup from GM's TBI trucks and 3rd gen f-bodys. The problem is it is very hard to try and get those setups to work without a reverse rotation pump. It was just a thought, so I thought I would ask and see if something like that was possible.

Actually a board member and friend of mine did it without reverse rotation. We used my car for the Skylark prototype and it worked great. Had to take it off for the Prochager or would still be using it. I think Larry still has a few kits around and it should cost less than $500.
