I used to beat up on pony cars back in my youth with 455 equipped sleds and am looking at another purchase. This time a 73' Riviera GS Stage 1 and was hoping to find out some info on the car as to its rarity or lack there of and if it is special. Getting out of the current FOX Mustang trend of mine and looking to reunite with torque by the barrel full!
Welcome back...good luck on your hunt, heres a 73 Riv. project. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Buic...86bQQitemZ110489778283QQptZUSQ5fCarsQ5fTrucks
Welcome from Wisconsin. In 73 they produced less than 1300 of these.( I think) Kind of rare, but very cool. IMO:TU:
Thanks everyone!I'm about 15 miles north of Nashville in Springfield TN.Found one I'm interested in and going to look at it thursday.I'll let you know how it goes.
I fInally found a Riviera.1968 with an early 70's 455,Buckets,Console and a factory 3:42 positraction.Seems to be about 1000 pounds liighter than the boat tails which will help in my quest for speed.
Welcome from Sunny Fla USA. I have a 68 Riv and really enjoy it. Its the second one Ive owned. I just bought 2 more as parts cars for 1000.00 picking them up on Sunday. I may have some parts for sale later.. I hope the 68 he found is not the All "mostly" origional Survivor. featured on ebay.
No I passed on that Fleabay jewel.I bought mine for $2500 and it will lay rubber through all three gears.the 455 combined with those rear gears make for a bunch of tire smoking fun
2500.00 Good buy! What I paid for mine off Craigs list. People tha see the car say I got a steal when I tell them what I paid for it.
