I live in Canada so I have to go to the states to see the best Buick shows and races (Norwalk, Bowling Green, Bristol) but in Canada we have our few Buick events during the summer months. I live in Windsor around the Canada-U.S. border. Our city is home to about 20 TR owners and few GS owners. My dad owns a 87 GN that will run an 11. It is a street car that we drive to Bowling Green every year. The first event of the summer is Buick Day @ St. Thomas Dragway. It is about 3 hours away from Windsor ( 2 by Buick) and we take the car everytime. We get a turnout of about 50 Buicks (Pretty good for Canada) and also Mike St. Eves 9-Second Corvette. No GS's show up for the event for unknown reasons. It is overall a good event. The second and last event of the summer is the Canadian version of the Buick-Olds-Pontiac Challange. Since it is for more than 1 type of car a bigger turnout is expected. The day of the event we learn that rain is expected there, but we decided to make the trip there anyway. About 5-10 minutes before we get there it starts to rain. We made the decision to not go to the event. We drove by the track just to see what was going on. There were maybe 5 cars there which effected our decision to attend. But out of the five cars that were there 4 were Buicks and the other was a Nova. In Canada we have maybe three 9-Second Buicks and two attended the meet. The other two were just cars driven on the street by people who love the cars. But the point is that because of the rain either the Oldsmobile's or Pontiac's left because of the rain or they didn't even bother to make the trip because they were afraid of the rain. That's why I say that the Buick community has the best and most die-hard racers out of the other communities and we probably have the fewest people in our group ( If the previous line offened anyone it wasn't meant to). BUICKS RULE!
