Needing some reading material for "the reading room" I grabbed a mag from my shelf. Jan 2000 Muscle Car Review.

They have a whole article on the '99 GS Nats. Also a "battle of the barges" where a '73 Riv GS Stage1 comes in second.

    And a blip about the 1970 455 Stage2.

Let me know and I'll scan them.

Hmmmm.... now where have I seen this before...

I got that Riv setting in my garage. I missed winning by .2 of a second.
If I would have emptied all the car show stuff and the cooler out of the trunk I
might have just pulled it off.

    KEVIN! That's correct! It's YOU!!!

HEY!! We have a celeb in our midst!

Your 1st run was a 15.87, your third run was a 16.05. Why'd it slow down so much? Almost 2/10ths.

Anyway, you did us all proud, man.

Why don't you modify your signature to show your GS as a Stage1??? Please do. You deserve it. A boattail GS Stage1 is ROYAL!:TU:

Seems like those X-Camino's are everywhere. Sure glad I'm not the fool that spent 2 years building one.

    Yardley,
The car was pictured in Muscle Car Review and in the Sept issue of Car Craft, and both times it was on a trailer. One of my favorite pictures of the car is on my website. We were leaving the Columbus Nationals and heading back to the Hotel when I passed my camera over to a friend in the car next to us, and he took a picture of Rich and I while we were driving it.

Yup. You sent me a copy of that pic!

I thought you sold the interior business????? Am I confused about something? Your website is the classic interiors one, right?

    Yardley,
Yes, the Classic Car Interiors website is mine, I sold the upholstery part of my business, but retained the name and the plastic/rubber injection molding part.
    Duane

PS. I always thought you were a little confused, probably due to all the sun you got last year in a certain backyard I know of.

Here is another picture. It's hard to see but that is a rainbow that looks like it is coming out of the trunk. It was taken at the 98 Nats, the car's first showing.
