I was wondering if any of the Massholes knew about a yard between Sturbridge and Palmer on Route 20? I was up for my Dad's funeral and went out for a drive to clear my head and located what looked like an older yard in a town called Monson. It looked to have a bunch of older cars in the yard ,but it was late and they were closed when I was giong by. Has anyone been in there?

  2. There's nothing there. At least not Buicks. There is a yard off Route 20 in either Brimfield or Wales which I've never been in but they sell a lot of older stuff. I was there a month ago and they had a 69 triple black 69 Wildcat for sale original decent shape driver for $3500. If your interested, I could figure out where it is. I can get there, just don't know the street names.

Could that be the yard Car Craft has featured inthe last few issues? The one they say is closing?

  4. Curboys in Sturbridge is closed. They sold most of the complete cars to other yards. I've seen some Curboys stuff in RI and central Mass. Nothing crazy but better than average NE metal.

Any possibility you could get more info on that Wildcat? I'm interested!

    Thanks-

  6. I can try. I was there in April. It's about 1.5 hours from my house. I'll see if I can find the name of the yard and get you the number. I looked clean, but the interior was damp and smelly musty like it's holding water. By the way it was a 350-4 car, not a BB.

This probably won't be much help, but there is this place in Oakham which isn't that close to Rte. 20, and I believe not much for Buicks (I've never been), but I believe they do have a good amount of old vehicles in there. Several years ago my uncle put an Olds W-30 engine into his Dodge Ramcharger (on a Chevy 3/4 ton frame), and I believe the car went to this yard, may have been crushed long ago for all I know.

    Paul,
Are you thinking of Classic Heaven in Brimfield? They are on Holland Road or in that area if I remember right. I have relatives in that area that are looking out for me when it comes to parts and supplies.

  9. That's it. I knew it was Heaven something.
