MY 68 skylark has a turbo 350 transmission it was originally a column shift but that was swapped out to a console shift which is a hurst his/hers shifter out of a 68 gto, electric choke edelbrock 1406 carb. there is only the reverse light wiring going to the shifter, the reverse neutral safety switch is bypassed under the dash where should i begin and will the stock cable work or do I need one specific for the turbo 350
    thanks

Hmm we just pulled a 350/350 turbo hydromatic out of a 71 skylark and I remember seeing that the kickdown cable ran from the gas pedal and routed down to the front passenger side of the transmission. So it had nothing to do with the shifter.

That is correct. On a Buick, the cable runs from the gas pedal to the transmission. Very easy to install and adjust. It has also been discussed many times here. All you have to do is use the search.
