I'm not 100% percent here, but since no one else has responded, I believe they should be rounded, like an acorn nut. I hope someone can confirm this for sure, as I need some myself.

Yes, they are the rounded acorn style. The originals are stainless capped. Not sure if they reproduce these or if the reproductions are chrome.

I don't think all of the originals were stainless capped, I have what I believe to be original lug nuts on my '68 rallys and they are chrome acorn style, not capped.

How tall are those Mike? I've seen some pics and they looked very short!

Are these the type used on a 1970 GS that are capped?

    Mark Reeves,

Are those stainless capped as the orginals were? Do you have any pics of them?

If you give me a couple of days I can send a pic of the correct original nuts that I have media blasted and will be sending out to get chrome plated.

They are a solid acorn style nut. The common replacements are chrome capped.

My dad recently bought a set of the correct style. He lost them. :Dou: They will hopfully turn up eventually.

I had a 78 TA and it had the same type of capped nuts, still in the parts bin.

I had to have the pic's taken of the lug nuts by a fellow member and we'll try and upload this pic shortly.

I do have the capped nuts on my parts car that has factory rally wheels but I am relatively sure that the ones I have taken the pic of is correct.
