What do you use to repair aluminum foil around GS center console.

    What is the best way to repair/replace the aluminum foil around the center console for A/T, T-handle for the 72 Buick GS? I have several areas where the foil has been peeled off. Thanks for the suggestions.

    craft shops have rub on chrome foil,that is used on model cars.works great
