what parts are needed to clone the gsx

    what non skylark parts made the gsx the gsx. after my wife goes back to work(hopefully soon). i will be buiding a gsx clone. and thought i might as well start rounding up the parts. Any help is appreciated. i usually hang out in th enailhead section. but am going to try my hand in the big block scene:3gears:

    Hm, the most noticable is the hood tach, spoiler/stripes. Even though I'm in the process of finishing mine, I can't think of any more for the life of me.

    Dash emblem

    Steering wheel

    Front spoiler

    Front spoiler center brace and mouting hardware

    Rear spoiler

    Rear spoiler bracing and hardware

    Steering box

    Grille emblem

    Quarter panel decals

    Rear spoiler decal

    Hood stripes

    Side stripes

    Rear spoiler stripes

    I think the larger torsion bar for the decklid may be a need in order to hold up the trunk but you can move the existing one a notch. The outcome depends a bit on the actual weight of the rear spoiler that you use.

    Regarding the tach there was a difference depending on the year. Then there is the tach wire clip which is hard to find.

    The grille emblem may be different depending on the year.

    I am sure others will add to this list but these are the things that strike me off the top.

    What car are you starting with and what model year are you trying to clone??

    Dont forget to paint rocker molding stripe on the X was Black
