Ok, so I just purchased a 1972 Buick Skylark Custom Convertible. Very excited about getting started on it and excited to find this site.
Wanted to throw out a question for any experts in the area of combustion. This one has the orig recently rebuilt 350/2 and runs a little rough. little difficult to start, once warm it runs fairly good but not what you expect. Even adjusting the carb to get it to idle better doesn't really change anything. Unsure if it is orig carb or not though guessing it is. Thinking about going to a new 4bbl to get better quality adjustments and just better quality all around. thanks for any support.

    Welcome to the site.
I am about to get my 72 convertible out of the paint shop and start driving it. Took a while, but can't wait.

You can really wake up the Buick 350 with a few changes, adding a correct quadrajet is a start. Carbs are what I do so check out texasextremeracing.com

You can add an aftermarket aluminum TA Performance intake or find a factory 4 bbl intake. No difference in performance, but big difference in weight. Search for the "Power timing" thread on this site and follow George's instructions. You will be happy with the end result as it really wakes up a stock Buick 350 to make these changes.

Headers are also fun and nice addition.

what's your name and where are you from?
