What years would a 67 GS (FoMoCo) 3 speed Trans work for?

Friend has a 67 GS 3 speed tranny, shifter and yoke he wants to sell, are there any other years this tranny would work for / be correct for? I think it was a FoMoCo tranny that year? Is this tranny correct only for the 500 or so 3 speed cars sold in 67?

Thanks in advance for any help!

I think the same trans was used for the 3-speed manual GTOs as well.

Is that the Ford "3.03" manual gearbox? Didn't know GM used it. Good tranny...

I have a 3spd in my mustang, but its going to be heading out in the near future for the t5 I just bought. The 3spd has taken alot of abuse i must say, especially since it was originally behind a 6cyl and now its behind my 302.

If that's the same 3.03 gearbox, it's pretty stout - Ford put them in Broncos, pickups, as well as Mustangs.

$110 will get you a master rebuild kit, and it's an easy rebuild. :TU:

Yup. I purchased one of these for my '65 Skylark-Nail. 1st gear ratio seems to be around 2.50.

It should fit any GM that has the bellhousing drilled for the front of the Ford Tranny. The input shaft and bearing retainer sizes are identical to GM's.

Meaning that GM had Ford modify the input side FoMoCo 3 speeds to fit the back of GM engines. Provided you have the correct dual bolt pattern bellhousing.
