I have bits and pieces of of interior that I'd like to match with the rest of my new black interior. Anyone have a good interior dye recommendations?

As Jim said...SEM is a brand of paints/dyes. You can usually find it at a local O'Reilly's or you may need to go to an auto upholstery supply place or an auto paint supply place.

I recommend SEM Landau Black...it has a sheen that doesn't make the part appear painted...looks like the black plastic when it was new.

Use some sort of adhesion promotore also on plastic parts.

Which parts are you considering recoloring??

The guy before started to convert the interior to black, so there is a few misc pieces that aren't done. Some door panels, thats pretty much it.

What about dying a cloth seat?

Juice--SEM makes a Prep Spray specifically for vinyl. This prep spray is made to be put on the vinyl prior to spraying on the Landau Black. Check out SEM's website or see if the place that you buy the Landau Black at happens to have a SEM catalog.

On cloth...I really don't know...some sort of fabric dye would probably work but I have no experience on recoloring FABRICS like that. Heck, for all I know RIT dye may do the job. You could check on this with an auto upholstery supply place.

I have used SEM and it is good stuff. Just clean the heck out of what you are spraying and scuff it with a scuff pad. spray it in thin coats. dries very fast. I have not tried it on seats though. Has anyone tried dying vinyl seats?

Fabric is tough. If you find something that works let me know. I have worked on dying seatbelts black and the result was not great.

Of course really used motor oil seems to be effective. :idea2:
