They seem to be fairly active in the Buick area lately....first they had 70 taillight lenses, then the dash cluster, just did some research, they now have repro intruments lenses (finally!!) for the 70-72 cars, convertible latch receptacles (yes I know they fit all a-bodies, still...), and looks like the 68-70 WW bottle that mounts on fenderwell is going to be available soon...

Maybe we should petition these folks for other things, they seem to be able to locate the suppliers and makers, perhaps they could 'whisper in their ear" so to speak...

    RACEBUICKS Midwest Buick Mafia

He is making lots of items but he doesnt research them well. The guy from what Ive been told wants to take over from year 1 and postons as the leader in repro parts but just like the flywheel covers didnt research the correct one so he has a boatload of ones for the V6 ......... He has a couple people just doing ebay for him all day. I know someone who has been there at the place of business and they said he has a semi trailor out back leaving every day with parts orders......

This is already available ( I was surprised when I ordered it and got it right away!!)

I'd give it a 90 or a 95 score. Part number is molded on the bottom, although not quite as crisp as a GM part. "TPP" logo cast into the bottom, not visible when installed.
When you take off the lid the material is a bit thicker than an original.
Overall, I thought it was worth the price.

I have ordered many parts through them, but not all were correct. I'm still new to this, so I can't always pick out what is correct or not. But I did have an issue about the color of the seat material and backs. I ordered the backs from them. I needed Frost White. It wasn't listed, so I ordered white. I got Pearl White. I called them, and them insisted that was the correct color for my 68 GS. We had a long "talk" about it, but he still insisted the color was correct. So they went back to him. I think that's where I got my shifter cable too. That is just a little too long. It works, but not right. It goes in Park, Reverse, Neutral, Drive(actually the shifter is just past the stop for drive) all ok. But trying to get it into low is a b****. But the shipping is very fast on the stuff that I have ordered. That is nice too, especially if you need parts fast.

Guys, don't even get me going about the quality of repro parts. But AT LEAST there some pieces we need out there. If the guy wants to be the leader, maybe someone here knows him and could help steer the research and development??? No point slamming other peoples products, he is trying, thats the best we've got right now.

I spent HOURS fitting my weatherstripping on the convertible last night. Four lousy pieces, these are the Year One parts, supposed to be good. The doors were ok, but the rear quarter ones were a mess. The aft hole MUST line up with the stainless trim and then gets screwed into the rear quarter. The aft part interfered with the stainless, once the aft holes were lined up, there was 1/2" difference in where they ended at the front, but they have the plastic guides rivited on and I didn't want to remove those so had to slide one back 1/2", drill new slots, etc, etc,etc...and one was trimmed wrong for the factory so doens't look great.

But at least you can get them, frustrating as it is.... :Dou:
