I've upgraded from the TH-350 to a TH-400 in my `72 Skylark. Some time back I purchased from Summit or Jegs a transmission mount (an Energy Suspension #3.1108R) but it is so thick that the transmission hits the tunnel. I called Energy Suspension and they said they had run into this before and was working on a solution. I'm thinking ... just use a factory transmission mount. I found a couple part numbers from the Paddock but am not sure which is the right one (PAD01546 OR PAD01549). Anyone know a vender and part for the standard type TH-400 transmission mount that will fit?
take the one you have to napa. they have all kinds of mounts. then you can send the old one back. jim when i switched a st300 to st400 they had the correct mount. these were 64 to 1966 years.
