I am redoing the interior of my 69 GS and I did not take enough pictures as I was doing the teardown so I cannot remember where this piece goes. I know it's not the A-pillar as I did not remove them. I did remove everything from the doors back, includng the carpet. If someone can identify this piece and tell me where it goes I will be very appreciative. . Thank you. So does the ashwell screw into it? I know there are two holes on the rear of the ashwell. Maybe that is why I cannot get the ashwells and door panels to fit properly in the rear of the car. Do you have any idea how to install them? Do they get attached to the rear wheel well or to the upper part of the panel? Do you by any chance have a picture of one that is installed? I appreciate your help. Thank you.
The bottom part screws into the back of the rear armrest. There should be two screw holes in the side that screw to the rear quarter panels above the armrests
