Vacuum it, scrub it (10% bleach), put matts on the floor and a blanket over the seat and just enjoy the car for a while.

If there's any water on the floor at all, start with finding and stopping the leak. It'll be all downhill from there.

The front seat requires only 4 bolts be removed. The rear seat is secured by spring clips which can be a little stubborn at times. Take up the sill plates & then the kick panels. The toe board under the drivers dash is next. At this point the carpet will lift out, front & rear sections separately.
So far only 6 small bolts & about a dozen screws to have a good look at your floor pan.
Ckeck under the dash near the glove box. Heater cores can leak & stain the carpet.

    James P,
The car is currently under a shelter and has been for a while, so once it's up and running I can take it through a car wash or run some water over it to see if and where there is a leak.
    Steve C.,
I've filled and ran the engine up to operating temperature twice already and it does seem like the Heater core is leaking or coming from the hoses connecting. This is however tell-tell bubbles of rust under the vinyl top, looks to have been a poor install from before I bought the car. I'm afraid to find out that the roof is rusted though. The search continues.
Also where is the best place to buy carpet. It seems that some people on this board really like ACC, is this the full company name and does anyone have a website for them? I've googla'd ACC Carpet and the first listing is Auto Custom Carpets, is this the same company? Also who has used dynamat or a simler product for sound and heat reduction? How did you like the results? Do you still have to use the factory type of under carpet jute (sp?) or does the dynamat, or other brand, replace the jute?

If you remove the front seat, first soak the bolts top and then from under the car with a good penetrating oil (NOT wd40).

Then be very patient and slow. Loosen a bolt a little, tighten it, loosen, etc. Work it back and forth for a while until it moves freely - you really don't want to break it off in there.

I still say just clean it up and enjoy it while the weather lasts :)

I'll throw in my support for PB B'laster too. Great stuff.
