    Which gauges would be good to have hidden under the hood for analyzing the engine?

    * Water temperature. (electrical)
    * Oil pressure. (electrical)

    * Oil temperature? (electrical)
    * Vacuum?

    Oil pressure
    Water temp
    Volts
    Later I added transmission temp due to the installation of a TH2004R.

    Those first 3 gauges are the common ones and monitor the critical conditions that can leave you stranded. Some people prefer an ammeter to a voltmeter but I'm obviously not one of them.

    I would (and did) use all electrical Autometer gauges. For you VDO would be good quality and probably more readily available in Europe,

    Thanks
    How many psi should the oil pressure gauge cover? 80/100/150

    0-100 psi is common.

    I have electrical oil pressure, mechanical water temp, and Vacuum in the wagon. I also have a volt and temp gauge that I haven't put in yet.

    You want to put gauges under the hood in addition to the ones inside the passenger compartment? Why?

    Seems like you have a lot of money burning a hole in your pocket.:laugh:

    I only have the red warning light for hot water inside the passenger compartment.
    2 gauges close to engine, water temperature and oil pressure. Planning to replace them and hide them close to front head lights. Want a clean look but still be able to read them and provide all of you with details to make my engine work better.
    - And yeah, it’s fun to buy parts. :TU:

    You need to see them while you are driving. Put them in the glove box if you don't want others to see them.

    This is my set-up, as soon as the fabricator gets off his duff and finishes it. :af:

    All Autometer Phantom gauges, Oil Pressure, Water Temp, Volts and Transmission temp.
    Also adding two waterproof 12v. outlets and a lead for a future stereo.

    I went with the white gauges to have a little contrast against the black instrument panel and gauge panel.
