I am an old car buff and want to buy a late 70's to late 80's Park Avenue. I am wondering if anyone has experience with the 78-79 body style/engine, the 80-84 body style/engine, or the 85-90 body style/engine. I am seeking a dependable, very comfortable riding and driving car. It would be used for weekend short trips and some daily driving. Mainly, it would be a car I would maintain and enjoy as an 80's "memory." Thanks!

obviously the FWD cars will get better gas mileage, and are still pretty comfortable road cars.(93-up my personal favorite) The 80-84 models all had the 307 Olds engine, not exactly a powerhouse, but will run almost forever. My grandmother had a 79 Electra Limited coupe, I loved that car but a few too many Illinois winters took it away from me. another possibility: the LeSabre was the same car, just not as luxurious.
