does anyone know what tops will work for this car i was told that all g body tops are the same grand prix, regal, cutlass, monte 78-87. i have a 87 t-type regal thanks for any info.
Not sure about the 79-80 cars, but I know 81-87 G body tops do interchange. Having said that: the trick is to be sure they are the GM installed units. A lot of cars had them added on by Cras & Concepts and they are nearly identical to the Fisher (factory) tops. Best way to tell them apart is the mounting system: OE used pins, and I think the C&C used a hook style similar to a convertible top. If the RPO label is still on the decklid look for the option code "CC1"
Dont some of the early 81-87 t-tops have trim on the edges of the glass? Im thinking the 81-83s. I have a passenger side t-top off of a GN in excellent condition if you need it.
