Guys, I am starting to collect items I will need to convert the GS to its correct white deluxe interior. One such item is either white headrest covers or , better yet, new(used) white headrests. It appears that repro headrests are only offered in black. Is there a source known for white? I can consider dying mine to white ( from black), but not sure how well that will work. Do Chevelles use the same bucket seat headrest? I have found some white pieces using that approach. Thanks, Steve

Hi Steve, I have a set of gorgeous pearl white head rests that were removed from a bench car; I can not remember if they are the same as bucket. If so, these would do it for you. Verify if they work and PM me. MO

Bench rests are different. They had one thick rectangular post where buckets have two thin round posts so they will not work. You can buy the new ones and paint/dye them with good results. All GM A bodies used the same headrests from 70-72 and maybe the same back to 68 which was optional in 68. Don't use the covers to put on old ones. They look like crap. The correct bucket seat headrests were molded like the dash so covering them looks goofy. I have not seen the repros but they look good in pictures. They are pricey.

Mark, Dave is correct - but thanks for the offer. Also not sure that Pearl White and White are the same thing. In any case, my existing headrests are in great shape, just black. I may employ the talents of an expert to do those so I get the best result possible. Also will keep up the search for some factory white ones. Later, Steve
