Okay, everyone who posted on my last question has been a huge help decoding my cowl tag. My tag states Pearl White buckets. I assume the white door panels follow. Not knowing Buick lore intimately does it automatically follow that I get a black dashboard and carpeting or did Buick mix it up further? Thanks again for you attenetion. ~ Steve

    Steve.

The code 185 Pearl White interior consisted of white upholstry, door panels, arm rests, rear side trim panels, windlacing, headliner and sun visors. The trim panels on the "A" pillar were also white (ivory?). The dash, steering column, steering wheel, console if so equipped, carpet, kick panels, seatbelts, and package tray were black. Buick furnished the cars this way through the 1970 model year. This was slightly different on convertibles, as all trim around the windshield including the sunvisors was black.

Beginning in 1971 (and there may be exceptions to this) the windlacing, headliner, sun visors, and "A" pillar trim were changed to black. The 185 trim code was changed to 165 for 1971, and buckets became special order items in convertibles.
