Been throwing around the Idea of white interior in a black GS. I can't decide if it would look good or just wouldn't work at all. Has anyone ever seen it done? Pictures would be even better if you have some. Thanks
It's Kevin's (Wolverine on this board) 70 GS455. He posted more pictures here, but I can't find them - sorry!
Is the interior in these cars a true white or pearl? I had pearl in my 442 it was ok, but Id rather have a true white. Might just do the seats white and leave the door panels and head liner black. I know its not correct but it might look cool. what you think?
That being said, I think you really need to sit in a GS that has white interior (my only experience is with '72s) The white bucket and door panels with the black carpet, headliner, and dash to me is really 'cool'............... Harry
I had to make this same decission 2 yrs ago when i started my project to GS clone my 67 Skylark. My interior is Parchment and was in mint condition and had to choose paint that would show best, with the interior, and Black it is.WE didn't know untill about a month ago how it was going to look when we installed the interior and it looks awsome. My personal opinion is that the Parchment compliments the black better than the white and pearl because there is less contrast.I have a black dash, carpet, seat belts, door panel carpet strips, steering wheel and i painted the top of the inner doors and quarters black, dyed the inner window trim and windless black.I'm very happy about the choice and glad we did, we get great compliments about the combination. So i will try to post some picks soon,if i can figure out to do it.
