If you have a white interior the headliner, sail panels, headliner trim, door panels and seats will be white everything else will be black, seat belts carpet dash, package tray console ect.
I have not found a supplier but maybe check with the Chevelle crowd. Austleys Chevelle parts or maybe OPG/Classic industries. Come to think of it I do not remember seeing any headliner trim for sale This wouold be a good repo item. Also I think that combo is the best looking you can have . A black Stage 1 with white interior yummy!
Not a stage 1, but a small block stick, originally black interior, but I always wanted a black car w/white interior, so thats what Im building:beer
i ordered/owned a 70 chevelle malibu with white interior. the headliner was black, however. for some reason, i believe that only the buick a-bodies with white interiors also had white headliners.
On my '72 Sun Coupe, the only things that are white are the seats and door panels. Everything else is black. Was this something that was just different between '70 and '72?
Not sure now abouit the headliner but I am pretty sure they make it in white for a 70 along with the sali panels Now I got to check and see if I am right about that. It almost makes sense to make it black above the door panels. Unless its John Chamberlains wild dayglo red with pearl white interior Stage 1
On a coupe pillar post, headliner and all are White. Kind of odd because on convertible they are black to match the underside of your top. Legendary should sell the White headliner. What i like best about JKC show car is the White shag carpet :bglasses: DL
Yeah and the White Dash and Ralley steering wheel! I bet that thing is tough to drive in the bright sun!
I had read previously that the 72's used black headliners, sail panels and package tray and that panels/seating and trim for seats were white. Seems as though white above the door lines would be excessive . Is there a source to verify this sort of thing? My car was originally white buckets and was converted to black at an earlier resto. Has black sail panels that appear to be original panels. Thanks, Steve
Wow.......I was about to pull the trigger on a white headliner. Just to be safe, Im going to wait for a definitive answer Appreciate the help fella's
Like said above. in 1970 and only 70, White interior on a coupe includes the headliner, Sail panels and a pillar covers. I missed out on an origional 70 GS350 that was factory flame red with an all white interior and a black vinyl roof. it was for sale locally and by the time I got the money the car was sold and then resold at a much higher price.
Very good......... thanks to all:beer I must admit, Im surprised the pillar covers are white as well. Sounds odd, I might have to think about that change. Anyone have a pic of an original white interiored 70 car?
Pull the trigger and paint the pillar posts white. Anything else is incorrect for a '70 Buick A body 2dr hardtop. Duane and I will deduct points in judging :Smarty:
