This approval gives you full access to the site, to pictures, and to post, among other things. I picked up a nice used holley 950 cfm 3 barrel carb this week. These were used on some of the hot rod dealer engines like Berger,Motion,Nickey, etc back in the late 60's. I was just curious if anyone has used one and how they like the vacuum secondaries vs. mechanical. I am putting it on a 476 ci chevy(non buick....lol.)and would like to shift it around 7200 rpms. Does the 950 cfm seem to fall into the right size for this application?

I have several, only used em on 455 Pontiacs, I like mine, one tip replace the huge vacuum secondary pot, with one of standard 3310 750, and add the quick change secondary spring kit to it, it all bolts up like factory, and works great

Check with Doc, who generally hangs out in the Nailhead section - he loves 3 bbls and knows a LOT about setting them up, and has extensive experience using them on Nailheads.....
