I heard that you send your Vin and they would research the car. Was it Buick or the sloan museum?

Most years are missing from Sloan. They have 1/2 year or so for the 70 year nothing for 71, nothing for 69 etc.

I guess what I meant is they can't research a car by VIN other than those years stated above. Daily car reports is probably a different matter. :)

Yes we are referring to individual car reports and not statistics.

I have the Sloan documentation for Dustins 72 car right in front of me here. The 71 and early 70 plus I'm assuming 69 aren't there..If you want 73 up I am sure they have them to I believe 81 or so.

    BUQUICK I'm your huckleberry.

click https://sloanmuseum.com/research_form.html and there is a live link on the page that says "click here" and you can see the exact years and VIN ranges for which they have information. They do have all of 1972 thankfully.

Yep, No pre 70, for I was thinking stage 1 cars...

But Sloan has the 1st half of 70, and Wayne R. has the 2nd half of 70 model year. I thought Sloan had 72's, plus they have the engine in the vin, which is nice.

    George,
The car reports will break down all the options, and body colors and all types of information. On these for example, they will breakdown things like on my 71 GS car like color base color C (Arctic White) 311 hardtops produced. When you look at the option code for sport mirrors(D35) in white,It will tell you that out of the 311 produced,44 had sport mirrors.Other breakdowns are avavilable such as 4 speed, stage 1 motor,a/c equipped, etc. It is extremely helpful,if you know the UPC codes used to order specific options. It wont directly tell me that for example my 71 is 1 of 35 built with 350, non a/c, posi rear, but it will let you know how many cars were built with each option. For example, there is a local 71 GS that is #73 (Sunset Mist)or code V.It has chrome rear door mirrors on it.When I looked to see just how many sunset mist cars were produced,it stated 1 was built. When I looked to see if that car had sport mirrors,Indeed it didn't.So,I believe you can say that this car was 1 of 1 because of how many were produced in 71,but to break it down further like a/c there were alot of I6(a/c) cars built (5670 with a/c).These car reports are really interesting but take some time to understand.Hope this wasn't too confusing.
