I got back to work on my 65 GS and I am going to restore the vent windows in the doors. My question is ...What manufacturer or vendor carries the best seal kit for these 64-7 type vents? Thanks,Dan

This is only ASSUMPTION!. Considering that the REAR window seals are the same on the 69-72 Skylark/GS as they are on the 69-72 Chevelle; I would ASSUME that they would be the same as a similar year Chevelle. I'll look at the Steele Rubber Catalog to check. I've used SOFFSEAL products on door weatherseals. but have used Steele as well for the "FUZZIES" weatherstrip/ window felt. I used NPD non-concourse seals on my 72 Skylark, and its fit was dead spot on.
Checked both Steele and Soffseal. Their respective company part numbers are the same for Skylark and Chevelle.
    Soffseal 5102 at $134.83
    Steele 38-0090-55 at $122.70

NPD Doesn't cover Skylarks... But lists for Cutlass, Tempest, GTO (which they DO cover)
    C-10652-100-A for 64/65 at 68.95
If this was a NON concourse resto, I'd go with NPD; simply for the price.

    Thanks guys,
I took apart two sets and I think I have enough parts to rebuild a pair. The bottom channel that sits inside the door seems to rust out on all the others that I took apart. It looks like the Metro brand is made in the U.S. and is a bit cheaper. I will try them and see how they fit, Dan

Did you install the metro seals? How did you like them?? I am on on the verge of ordering a whole car kit from them because of the cost difference betweeen steele and metro

I used the Metro brand on the vent windows and the convertible post seal. No complaints at all, good products.
