The Chevelle guys can get them. Look how pretty this radiator is.

This part is probably one of first parts that got replaced back when these cars were new. There's a ton of GS's out there with incorrect aftermarket radiators. How hard would it be to change the codes on the tank to Buick codes?? The tags are already repro'ed

Price is a little steep, but I would pay it for my 70 Stage 1.

All GM A bodies pretty much the same although Buick just used 3 core I believe. You could always get the correct tag from the Parts Place. But for a grand I can think of alot of parts I would rather have.

I thought the Parts Place just reproed the SW tag that they got from me. If so it is not the only one.

A GRAND? JUST FOR A TAG?

And I've been beating myself up over a $200 repro battery that only lasted me 3 years. :Dou:

The auction is for a complete reproduction Harrison radiator, not just the tag. Notice the right side tank embossed with the Harrison logo and correct Chevy tank codes.

True Joe...but if your doing a nut and bolt resto, whats an extra thou? I would go for one.

People are dropping 3500-5000 on rebuildable Stage 1 carbs these days.

Just get a junkyard radiator, cut off the tanks, blast them, have them re-cored, paint the thing and install repro tag. Just as good and alot cheaper.

Im sure Jim can tell you how difficult it is to find correct tanks with the correct stampings in them. Ive been looking for quite a while

SW radiators are hard to find but in 70 many used another code. It took a long time for me to find one so nice that it served as the master for the Parts Place SW repros. Jason I have forgotten is the aquamist 70 car a non AC? If so I believe it came with another tag and radiator and not a SW.

Yes, its a non A/C car. And yes, the radiator is not an SW. I have the code written down here someplace on my desk.

Im sure eventually, all these parts we need will get repro'ed. I just hope Im not back in diapers when it does.

    Jason,
For your 70, you would be looking for a radiator with an "SJ" tag.

That would be the best way and best cost effective way to do it. $1000.00 is an awful lot of money for something that should cost at the most $400.00 .

Duane is right on the money as usual. SJ is not a hard tag to find.

From the assembly manual, SJ tagged radiators went in small block Skylarks. They should be fairly common.

So if I happen to come across one, it should have an SJ tag with CF/ IA codes embossed in the tanks?

I'll have to bang on Bruno's door this weekend :Brow: Maybe I can trade him for my special tomato plant fetilizer he likes.

Yes any 350 with AC and I know 70 GS 350s has the correct CF tank and SJ tag for your car.
