Here's my newest question. I have one nailhead with the Rochester on it. I'm trying to get it to "yard drive" and the only thing left is to get the carb straightened out and bleed the brakes. Here is what the carb is doing: It won't idle on it's own, so when I press the gas lightly to keep it around 1500 RPM, fuel starts bubling out of the bowl vents on each side. I am kind of dumb when it comes to carbs, so is this something the $20 carb kit takes care of, or can I pull the carb open and dump out some gunk? Reading the FSM, it sounds like the floats are stuck. Anyway, if someone can shed light on why gas comes out of my bowl vents, I'd appreciate it. Here is how wet the carb gets with gas after 10 seconds of running (big explosion hazard  ):
Here is exactly where the fuel comes out when I have the car running. It only bubbles out during idling, I am pouring it out when I went to clean the carb. Let me know of any answers....
Definitely seems like a stuck float to me. There are 2 needles and seats. Probably lots of varnish/corrosion inside. You need to take it apart and clean that crap out of there, might as well put a kit in it and do it all at once.
