We have 3... biggest one was 22+ lbs. when I got him, he's down to about 18 lbs. now. Bruce, I think we are tied. The reason behind his weight loss... Liam chasing him. Here is a picture of Slate. Have a good day all Beth
My parents have a 21# Maine Coon He's the most beautiful cat with an Awsome disposition. He plays catch / fetch and jumps up into my arms when i call him, then wrapping around my neck and laying down up there
Sam, my orange tabby, was just a hair over 25 pounds when I got him. He was a big 3 year old male that had never been fixed, so he was stocky and muscular, and had practically no neck. To get him from the shelter, I had to get him fixed. Within the next year or so after being snipped he lost all of his muscle tone and just turned into a big lazy tub-o-goo. I've had him for about nine years, and he weighs about 18 pounds now. For what it's worth, his favorite food is Corn Chips, and he begs for table scraps just like a dog. - Freed
Beth, we have one that looks just like yours, but she's 11 pounds. Her name is Skylark. The other one looks like a smaller Maine Coon cat, about 11 pounds also. Her name is Regal. Both were strays we picked up in the neighborhood. My brother lives two doors down and has 6 from the 'hood, too. One was a mom cat with a litter, so they kept her and 2 of the kittens after finding good homes for the rest. He didn't name his after his hobby, though. I know that ours are not that big, but they seem like it when they flop over your shoulder. Cats and cars are our kids. ShariB
A local restraunt owner and I were talking last night about our "big" cat and he laughed and asked "wanna see mine"? I said sure and then he got out of his chair and went upstairs and got his cat. All 28 pounds of it !!!!ou: Our 18 pounder is a baby !!:eek2: :TU:
Slates favorite is corn chips also, must be something about shelter cats 2 of the 3 are shelter cats, the other one is from a farm the was about to be torn down. This is Sweetie, she's old, grumpy & deaf as a doorknob & only weighs about 12 lbs. Beth
This is Charva he's the skinny one, weighing in at about 10 lbs. soaking wet & a Wisconsin native to boot (farm cat)
rtabish, thank god Creepy is not ours then. Ted, Mo is really cute, looks like a big tuff guy too. Happy Holidays Beth
I got five here! Currently, I have five black cats living here. The names are, get this, Snowball, Dog, Flash, Squish and Loner. Dog is the biggest one at this point in time. He's 8 months old and weighs in at 12 pounds. Just weighed him, you got me curious. Had a Russian Blue when I was just out of high school that tipped the scales at over 30 pounds. Outdoor cat and no fat at all. Often caught him chasing off the neighbors labs!! Had a habit of leaving all kinds of dead creatures at the back door Everything from rabbits to gophers to moles. Finally got taken out by Ole Lady Cox down the road in her 69 Riv.
