Hey Buick lovers! I just got a 1966 Wildcat with a 401. I got the front clip off and pulled the motor and tranny. The problem is that the block is hashed. The oil pan looks like a grenade went off inside. The #3 piston on the passenger side exploded. When it did it broke out the oil "channel"(?) that feeds oil to the cam and crank bearings. So needless to say I'm in need of a block. I plan on doing a frame up restoration, however it's happening in my very cramped two car garage, and on a limited budget. I'm no expert so any tips or hints would be greatly appreciated(maybe even a new block!).
