will 64 engine wiring harness work on 71 350 - 4V?

Just curious if a stock, 1964 engine wiring harness, in a 1964 Buick Special, would work on a 1971 Buick Skylark 350 - 4V that was transplanted into it. The 350 engine is all stock, and there is no a/c, and the engine came with cruise control I think but I'm not hooking that up to my Special. My car is a manual transmission as well. I'm guessing I might have to run one or two extra wires perhaps on some on the carburetor for it, but on the whole, would it at least start, and charge the battery properly?

The reason I ask is that currently, I have no 1964 engine wiring harness, but I'd like to add the stock 1964 fuse panel back into it so I can reinistate the brake lights and turn signals, horn, etc. to get it roadworthy. Currently I was able to get it to run by running a few select wires out to the 1971 Skylark engine/underhood harness which was kept on the transplanted engine (entire underhood 71 harness was taken with engine, unbolted at the big firewall plug). This for me is only a temporary measure.
