will '71 skylark front hood trim fit '72 hood?

Just curious - never really dug the '72 front moulding and thought I might want to replace it with the cleaner-styled '71 if it's a direct retro fit.

The '71 front hood molding will fit on your '72 hood - though there may be a gap between the lip the grill - might have been the reason for the shape of the '72 front hood molding - definitely see if someone knows about this.

You would need the same year headlight bezels as the hood trim to look correct.

Would the 71 headlight surrounds be needed because of trim spacing differences from 72 pieces?

Biggest problem will be a large gap between grill and trim.....best to change the headlight bezels to match/line-up with the hood trim.

I believe I have a pair of 71 headlight bezels in a box somewhere in the garage. If I can find them, you can have them for shipping cost only. They are red so you'll likely have to paint to match.

I'd take that deal if you come across the bezels - be good to have them around in case I do find a good '71 hood trim to go with them.

Please let me know on that whenever convenient :TU:

    thanks!
