Buick didn't make a 12 bolt rear, so it's likely a 12 bolt Chev rear in the 68.
It will swap, with all the standard disclaimers of using a 12 bolt rear. Go to buickperformance.com and there's some tech info on the swap.

I have always been told that Canada Buicks came with 12 bolts, and the Domestic ones came with 10 bolts.

The Canadian ones used the Chev 12 bolt.
