Will the posi from a 67 GS riviera rear end go into my 68 rivis rear end? Not the whole thing, just thestuff i need to make it posi
i dont know what all that means. I mean I dont want the whole rear. Just the assembly that makes it posi I guess my real question was if I buy the gear and carrier but not the whole axle would it fit?
Here is what I got out of the other thread. The units are different from 3.07 to 3.31 and from 3.42 to 4.11 for some reason. Not knowing much about the units ( if ring spacers can be had/used ), I would say yes if you use everything you take out of case A and but it into case B.
It you could get the whole rear and it was serviceable, it'd be cheaper to swap that in (assuming the mounting points are the same) than having someone set-up the gears into your current rear (if they'll fit). If you try to set-up the gears yourself and you mess up the clearances, you'll hose the rear.
guess I might as well do the whole rear. Gives me a good reason to make it nice and pretty before it goes in I guess. And maybe a traction bar in the back too!
??? What kind of traction bar are you looking for? The typical bolt-on stuff is for leaf spring cars. Devon
