My window channels have epoxy layer and a few light coats of primer fill that were sanded down .

Do I have to be cautious of building up that area with a coat of sealer ,3 coats of base and 3-4 coats of clear or let her just rip ???

yes ..worried if I should watch out for building to many layers in the channel area so I dont have problems with the molding clips .....

You don't want paint Prime sealer clear to pile up on the rivets that the Stainless moulding clips snap into . I would think that the clips would spread apart and not fit tight. Hope I'm talking about what your asking Frank . I think people tend to put to much paint in channel

Yea I put very little material in the channels and the drip rails as well, if you do need to just give it the needed flash time
