So....on my driver's side door, the crank for the window is rounded down beyond help.

is it possible to cut this off, find a good one, and weld it all back together?

would it be strong enough to operate the windo with no major problems or future breakage?

You should just replace the window regulator.

    Post in the wanted section.

Maybe someone can walk you through how to change it.

I would...but the skins are welded together. so that creates WAY more work than I wanna tackle right now.

Plus the regulator works fine.....just the crank is stripped.

    ?????

All you need to do is remove the 4 bolts holding the mechanism in place (they're visible in you're pics), disconnect it from the glass, pull the regulator out, and replace with a new/used one. You're halfway there with the door panel removed. Shouldn't take more than a hour, including realigning the glass. :TU:
