Window Crank Springs

Hi All,
Hey I have some window crank springs and wonder if people put them on or if they are needed for my car. How do they go on? are they located right at handle? behind the round plastic door panle protector? Thanks for the input!

 

behind the plastic washer....don't really need them

 

but behind the door panel to keep the panel tight against the window crank.

 

and narrow end to the crank, big end to the panel.
